Gainfully Unemployed

Usually, I sit at work and type away a weekend recap on my Monday, followed by a Monday post after that. Today is not usual.

I quit my job. After 6 months of a job where sexual harassment and petty benefits were the norm, I quit it. I feel so absolved. I have faith and know that wherever God wants me to go, I won't be alone.

Everyone was so supportive, my friends and family. Even my coworkers congratulated me for leaving, and all talked about their own job searches.

What's in store for this design apprentice you ask? Well, simply stated, passion. I am going to pursue my passions. I am going to sign up for real estate courses and get my realtor's license. I am also going to take some interior decorating courses.

I'm very excited and very happy. I find it funny, but I am truly gainfully unemployed. With the help of your blogs, which are oozing with creativity and provide me with inspiration, I felt a "can do" attitude that had been gone for some time.

P.S. I am so excited to share this weekend's recap with you. My parents return from Naples today and I wanted to surprise them so I spent my Sunday and its entire ties changing the hardware on our kitchen cabinets. They'll be home soon and I will save it all for my recap. But for now, for now, I am happy.

"First I give thanks to my God through Jesus Christ for all of you because your faith is talked of all over the world." -Romans 1:8
