Motivating Mates

We all have them, friends, family members, significant others, coworkers, people who motivate us to become better people and reach our full potential. What a blessing it is to have these people in our lives! So often the world seems so bleak, but I think God works through so many people in our day to day lives to help motivate us to be the best we can be. I'd like to share a few motivating stories.

My train friend, as I call her, Paula is a healthy woman who takes fitness so seriously. This woman is truly passionate about taking care of her body, and her passion is contagious! Paula got me a free 2 week trial membership to her gym and we've been going to classes this week to whip ourselves into gear. Yesterday I did spinning for the first time in my life, and today I did a muscle conditioning class.

Dear Thighs, you'll love me for this eventually.

It's just great to have a work out companion and someone who truly cares to help make me better.

I also sent an email to The Nester. I love love love Interior Design, and this woman is a guru. I know her bio says she didn't have formal training so I asked her if she could recommend any ideas for me to follow down that same path. I wasn't expecting a response, I know she is a busy blogger, and this morning I received one from her. I have never met The Nester, but her words were full of encouragement and so so positive. It was just the inspiration I needed to start off my day.

The Nester recommended I contact these women about their classes they offer, as she took a week long class with them before. She also told me "you can do this". What positive strong words, that mean so much to me. Thank you, a million times over.

I contacted One Day Decorating, and have yet to hear back. But perhaps I could ask for this for my upcoming birthday on March 3rd.

Then there is Bob and my family who are always so supportive countless times over, and whose stories didn't make it here because it would take a novel to express their motivation and faith in me.
In Chicago it is snowing buckets worth, as if God is scooping snow and throwing it down upon us. It makes me want to create a cozy scene. I absolutely adore Timber homes, and feel right now I would be so happy to be in one just Bob, Me, and Shelbs cuddled up in a great room.
Here are a couple great rooms from PrecisionCraft and Goshen Timber Frames that I think are incredible.

Pair one of these beauts with the below guaranteed comfy experience, and I am set.

What about you, what exudes cozy to you?

Find comfort in:
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

  1. Isn't it awesome when God gives you inspiring people in your life? Don't forget that you are also an inspiration to others. :)
