I wonder if anyone else has a ridiculously hard time leaving their four legged friends at home when it's time to go to work. I hate leaving Shelby behind, and I truly wish she could understand that I'd rather be with her.

She is such a good girl, every morning without fail she'll wander to the bottom of the drive way and bring the paper back to me, with such pride you'd have thought she just saved a child's life. Some mornings she'll get a little too into her job and retrieve the neighbors papers too, we didn't realize this until she waltzed in Wall Street Journal in tow.

We don't subscribe to the Wall Street Journal.

This morning she decided to cuddle and was laying on my stomach, when my alarm went off. When I pushed snooze I told her to go back to sleep and she lie back down as instructed for 10 more minutes.

Here are some cute pictures of my Shelbs when she was a wee one.

If I have such a hard time leaving Shelby to head to work, I can't begin to imagine how hard it must be with children.

  1. I TOTALLY know what you mean. Whenever we go away I can't even LOOK at Max before we walk out the door because I know I'll start to cry!

    Bear hugs,
    Layla :-)
