Snap Crackle Pop.

So crackle paint consumed half of my day today. I am not ashamed to admit it. I'm tenacious and wouldn't allow myself to give up that easily. I called Folk Art's customer service hot line. I couldn't help but find it humorous to be calling a hot line specifically designed for crafts. Can you imagine the phone calls they probably receive? Or how about how fun it would be to simply instruct someone on how long paint takes to dry?
"Uh yes ma'am paint, it doesn't dry instantly."

But I was inept with crackle paint and here's what their friendly customer service revealed:
My craft book was wrong. One should not use something like alcohol or mineral spirits on wood to prep it. Just sand it. The mineral spirits dried the wood out so the crackle paint then was sucked right in like water. One should apply two coats of crackle paint one after the other is dry, and wala.. crackle. Only problem? I'm not sure I like the look now, oh boy! I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of it up.

And for something I'm thirsty for?

It's juicy. Really, Juicy Couture, and I love it. It's so fun and colorful and bold. I love it, did I say that already? What do you think? Is there a bag you're loving because it oozes Summer? If so, show me!

"And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."-Phil. 4:7

  1. That bag is gorgeous! It's so summery!

  2. Cute bag, cute blog! I love the quote under your profile up there, too.

  4. I want that bag! Your right, it just screams summer! Hope your having a wonderful week friend! xoxo

  5. I'm so happy you ladies like the bag too. It's just fun. I feel this is the time of year when we can get away with bold and bright accessories, definitely a window I take advantage of.
