Weekend Recap

This weekend was so low key and really centered around just being. I drove to Bob's school, like my last post said and we had a great time living our lives without any outside forces needing our attention or relying on us. It was great. We went and saw Date Night with Tina Fey and Steve Carell. I was expecting a few laughs, but it was more like laugh inappropriately loud every three minutes good. I kid you not, I walked to the car still laughing at the outtakes. I never laugh at outtakes and it's oddly hard to get me to laugh at a movie in general, so Date Night gets outstanding applause from me. I'm more of a "laugher" when it comes to real life scenarios especially those revolving my immediate family.

I don't know where all of you hail from, but in Illinois my allergies have been driving me crazy since they promptly arrived Friday. I've been surviving by way of Claritin and still chose to brave a hiking expedition because Bob loves to hike and the weather was too nice to stay in. It was gorgeous and this indoors gal actually felt...dear I say rustic? We went off the standard paths and explored for several hours. It was incredibly hilly and gorgeous to boot.

Where we live in the suburbs, we're blessed with a large array of different forest preserves so I think this Summer I'll be finding myself more and more acquainted with the outdoors. It's good exercise, just like the outdoor shopping malls I love so dearly, so compromise may take us down both routes. They're both outside so in a sense one with nature, be it by a rippling creek or outside Sephora..

"In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind." -Job 12:10
