Less Carrie more Charlotte

I just came home from seeing SATC 2 with my best friend MP. We went on a whim and honestly I thought the first was way better.

The plot reminded me a bit of Bridgette Jone’s Diary. In both movies’ they had to travel to exotic locations and have far fetched scenarios come into play for a few laughs. I just felt lulled by Carrie and the whole shebang. But then again I have always been a Charlotte girl. It doesn’t hurt that Kristin Davis has a shocking resemblance to Jackie O, in my opinion. It’s embarrassing how similar I am to Charlotte, all of my friends playfully tease me about the parallels, all the way down to our favorite baby names. (Her favorite being Shayla, my furbaby being Shelby)

May I present to you my home girl, Charlotte York aka, The Park Avenue Pollyanna.

“I'm sweet, romantic and traditional. I'm a bit prissy and naive, and I wont settle for less than a picture perfect life.” – Charlotte York

“When Charlotte really liked somebody she said their whole name. It helped her picture their future monogrammed towels.” – Carrie Bradshaw

Charlotte is so real and sincere. She is refreshing and classy and well, I love her. If the movie was based around her or if a book came out that was centered around her I would hop to it.

I can’t lie to you though, I will probably be reading the Carrie Diaries' this Summer along with every other lady, even if only to read about the early Charlotte days.

Which of the characters do you feel you relate the most to? Do any of you feel Carrie is a bit self centered and whiney or is just met? I feel that is one of those statements that could get me in trouble for being made public, but oh well.

By the way, enjoy your long weekends everyone!
