Sometimes Life throws a remix…

I was all ready to start my favorite day of the week yesterday. And then the coughing began. Sure enough around 5 AM I was awaken to my own loud obnoxious coughing. It sounded like something out of Zoolander when Ben Stiller is certain he is a victim of the black lung. I feel a sense of relief however when I meander downstairs to the kitchen and remember alas! My Mom has just gotten a new prescription for some good ol’ cough syrup. It’s called Tussionex and apparently it also makes one very sleepy. Like you could have performed surgery on me today and this gal wouldn’t have noticed one bit.

I feel rather bummed because Friday was spent in a sleepy coma state and I didn’t get to carpe diem the heck out of my day like I typically prefer. I feel like if the week were a race, Friday would be the last stretch where you try hard to show you did the best you can. And on this particular race I didn’t exercise the goods. But oh well, Saturday will hopefully be a make up day.

Get excited, I have a terrific DIY project to show you using my new favorite fabric: Burlap. Burlap sounds so understated, like Target. One can say Tar-jay to make it sound more glamorous. Burlap does not resonate off the tongue the way the meaning should. Burlap has so many hidden decorating uses people don’t think of. I want to call it Burlap’e (Burr-lap-aye). So get excited friends, I shall be sharing a Burlap’e project very soon. Oui!
