This weekend was such a busy and fun time.

Friday: I went to the Chicago White Sox versus the Chicago Cubs baseball game. It’s known as the cross town classic and brings both sides of the city to one rivalry filled place. We sat in the Stadium Club which essentially is an all you can eat buffet and bar, it’s such a fun time. The food was incredible and it was great getting to see such an important game, especially due to the Sox win!

We went with my parents and ate to our hearts galore.

015010016Over all it was a great day to be at Comiskey  Park.

Saturday: was spent on the go! The day began with Bob’s cousins bridal shower. It was beautiful and so nice to see all the ladies in his family.

Bob’s grandfather was nice enough to host everyone at his house. He is the sweetest man.

After the party we headed over to one of my cousin’s graduation parties. It was so great to see everyone, I was entirely in my element. My cousins from Wisconsin were in town and this left me absolutely giddy. We decided to take a cousin photo of everyone who was there.

034Afterwards we headed back to Bob’s family and spent the rest of the night with his cousins and a bon fire.

Sunday: Was spent with even more family. We went over to yet another one of my cousin’s graduation parties before finishing the night at his family’s house. We had a large dinner and spent time with his family who would be leaving for Boston the next day.

This weekend had a lot of family and a lot of wonderful all bundled up into one. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well and got to spend time with the ones that mean the most to you.

  1. I bet the game was a blast -- looked so FuN!

  2. Looks like you had a fun weekend! So glad the Sox won! Just a quick story...

My grandfather, lived in Nebraska and was a baseball pitcher. It was back in the early 1900's when a scout from the White Sox saw him in a game and wanted him to come play for them. Well, back then, there was a scandal going on in baseball and his father was a Pastor, and didn't want him to go. He never went, but regretted it for the rest of his life. Kind of sad, but then again, God had a plan...and I probably wouldn't be here today if had gone. Go SOX! :)

  3. So much fun! I went to Chicago for the first time last March and loved it! it was a girl's trip so my next trip is with my husband and we are definitely coming during baseball season. Your pictures are priceless!

  4. Kelsey, it really was. Definitely my favorite way to take in baseball, ha.

Heidi- That may be the coolest story I have ever heard. Seriously. I can't wait to start sharing that story with people. Had it been you or the sox, he definitely made the right choice. P.S. I'd love an email update about everything with you and you know what.

Tiffany- I hope you get to go to a game. Would you go to a Sox or a Cubs game? I am a huge Sox fan though the Cubs do have a more entertaining atmosphere and surrounding bar area.

  5. Um, how pretty are you in these pictures?!!

  6. Julie you may have just become my new best friend, thank you! If it weren't for AC I'm not sure I would have fared so well. How did they keep from wilting B.A.C.?
