Sox and Sun

Like I mentioned yesterday, I went with my friend Erin to the white sox game last night. It was our first time having Bob meet her boyfriend Beau so that  added a little extra excitement to the equation. Her brother was also celebrating his Bachelor party thus they tailgated before the game. We stopped by to join them in the celebration very briefly to say Hi (and maybe grab some burgers)

Me and my honey:

My apologies for the intense gaze in the second photo, this was after many a beverage.  Bob is headed to Cooperstown for the next week on a trip with his Dad and his younger brother. His younger brother is playing baseball in a tournament so I will be missing him. But absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Then today I went to this new spray tanning salon about fifteen minutes from my home. I was so nervous because I knew I would be seeing a close examination of my skin. Oddly, I put my face as close to a mirror and the reflection showed my skin damage. I was so confused though, when I looked there was virtually nothing. The gal working there asked “Do you wear sunscreen daily?” I laughed a no and she told me it must be genetics and it was the best condition she’d seen in the past two days. This made me float a bit on cloud 9.

Get this, it was raining when I left. So as not to ruin my new spray tan another girl went and pulled my car up for me. How sweet is that?

And the makeup-less end result??

This marks one of the only times I’ve been darker than my very Sicilian father. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend in store, and a bit less rain than we have in the Windy City.

  1. It looks like you had a great time! I bet it was a relief to see barely any sun spots..very lucky : ) The tan looks fab by the way!

  2. Hi Katie! Your blog is so much fun! Love the spray tan. I cannot even imagine what my face would look like deep down. Yikes, that is enough to make me avoid the sun like never before. :)

    Have a wonderful weekend!

P.S. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a sweet comment!
