Tiki Times

This weekend was full of birthdays. Which can really be a lot of fun. Friday night was Bob’s friend John’s birthday and Saturday night was my best friend Dana’s birthday. This meant a lot of baking and celebrating. I’ll share the most amazing carrot cake recipe in the world with you later this week, but for now I thought I’d share some photos from the weekend. I mean what’s a girl to do when there are birthdays except celebrate? And celebrate we did.

Friday night we went to a Chicago bar that is tiki bar themed. It was a lot of fun, especially because I happened to run into some old college friends. How random is that?

This Friday night was such an incredible night. One of those Summer nights looked back on with a huge smile. Unfortunately this meant Water with just a lemon, please. On Saturday for Dane’s birthday.

I didn’t take any photos Saturday but photos of her scrumptious gift coming soon.

I hope all of you had such a wonderful weekend too! Seriously though, is it just me or the Summer flying? It needs to slow down. Us Northerners only get very limited resort like weather and it’s all happening so fast.

  1. Aw! FUN! I love celebrating birthdays. :) And I can't believe how fast summer is going by - but in this Texas heat, we like it to pass by as quickly as possible. Have a good one, girly!
