News Day Monday

Attention, Attention: Read All About It!

I have three bits of information to share with you this Monday. Get excited, not all Mondays are this newsworthy.

1.) Today I am back in the ranks of the employed. I start my new job and am going to there head quarters tomorrow before I begin training in Chicago on Tuesday. I am both excited and nervous. I mean who am I going to kid? Isn’t everyone nervous starting a new job? Tell me they are and you will help me nerves and ego ten fold.

2.) Today’s episode of the Nate Berkus show is going to feature the blogger audience. The episode of which you heard me talk about all last week will air, so check your local listings. I will be playing the role of audience member in the magenta Tucker dress.

3.) I’ve been doing The Clean Program since last Wednesday. Today marks day 6 of the 21 day program. It’s honestly one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life. I did it last December with my Mom and we decided it was time to grab the reigns of our health again. Last time we lasted for 16 days, bare in mind this was in the beginning weeks of December. It was hard but we were even more proud for being good during such a tough time. Last time I lost 6 pound and noticed clearer skin, less plaque, and a ridiculously keen sense of smell. My Mom lost 8 pounds last time. It’s hard and takes dedication but is so worth it. There are two versions of this very healthy program a kit version and a book version, I’m following the book’s plan. Basically it includes:

Breakfast: Smoothie with Coconut Milk, Agave Syrup, Mango, Pineapple

Lunch: Chicken breast over a bed of spinach, almonds, kalamata olives, avocado dressing, sea salt.

Dinner: Juice of Carrots, Apples, Squash, and Cucumber

(Side note: Jamba Juice carries fresh squeezed carrot juice which is incredible for warding off colds before they start!)

Snacks: (Optional) Almonds, Apple with Almond Butter

Drinks: Lots and Lots of Water, and Chamomile Tea

Supplements: Probiotics, Magnesium, Oil of Oregano, Milk Thistle

It’s a healthy plan created by Dr. Alejandro Junger and the meals are full of antioxidants that essentially heal your digestive tract. There is a wonderful support community. When I started it Gwen Paltrow had praised the healthy plan. Since then our ranks have been joined by Guliana Rancic, Demi Moore, Kate Hudson, and Mariska Hargitay.  For more info check check, check it out!

Hope your week starts out beautifully!
