Kicking Cancer to the Curb

I write this blog post with sincere empathy for my best friend, Pamela. Today (Tuesday Night) Pamela, at the age of 24, lost her mother to breast cancer. Carol had fought this retched disease since 2004 and showed more strength and poise than the majority of healthy women I have encountered in my life. Her body may have been sick but her spirit and faith were never tainted. I had the privilege of knowing this incredible woman and already feel her heavenly presence in our lives. God picked an angel to bring home and with that gave us all an additional mother to seek council from in Heaven.

I’m not sure if I’ve shared on this blog that Pamela, along with our other best friends will be participating in the Susan G Komen 3 day walk this Summer. It has now taken on so much more meaning and importance because of the ability to honor Carol.

You can help us raise funds for our 60 mile walk to end breast cancer, because someone needs to end it and we happen to be a group of girls up for the challenge.

  1. So sorry for your loss. That's SO sad! I will keep you and your best friend in my prayers.

My sister in law (only 42 years old) is currently going through chemo treatments. She found out before Thanksgiving last year that she had cancer and had a double mastectomy before Christmas. Cancer is such an awful thing!
