Newsworthy Edition

I have some news for you my lovely readers. Something I haven’t shared in the past because I suppose I still have a sense of privacy I wish I could shed, even from this lil’ ol’ blog. Bob and I began ring shopping almost a month ago. We’ve been dating for nearly four years and met nearly seven years ago.

Basically what this means is seven years ago I realized I’d met the man of my dreams and I have patiently (with many prayers for patience) waited for the time to come when our relationship would grow. Almost four years ago Bob recognized how much I meant to him and that he wanted to spend his life with me, it was then he asked me to finally be his girlfriend. These are all blog stories I should really share with you, I have gushed to all my in person friends and many of them have me retell the accounts of our relationship because they read like a perfectly played romance novel.

We’ve been talking about getting married for the past year and a month ago we began shopping for rings. I showed him what I liked and told him there was only one jeweler I would ever go to. It is so important to me that I had nightmares he went elsewhere and my first question when he proposed was, “Where is this ring from!?”

You see, one of my very best friends, Dana’s Dad is a jeweler. Dana is one of the most driving friendships in my life and her own persistence and faith in my relationship with Bob helped it to grow the way it has. Dana and her family always promised they would take such good care of us when we were ready to get engaged and because of that there is no one else we would dream of taking part in this process of our relationship.

Her Dad was so honest and forthcoming from the get go. In all honesty, he is such a man of Christ and a great man to guide in our search for the perfect ring.

But on to that ring, my favorite designer has always been the Richard Landi. His rings have been seen on the likes of Ashlee Simpson and are known for their ornate detail. I knew I would never want a ring that looked common or ordinary and his pieces are anything but. He has a section on Claypot, and my ring is located there.  As to which ring, I’ll keep that a secret until the proposal comes and share it with you then.

I have been so anal about my nails though, because I don’t have the slightest idea when a proposal will come, which is just how Bob likes it. I have literally had three polish changes in one week. THREE. I don’t know about you but for me that is outlandish. I need to invest in a no chip and pronto.

I’m happy to share this upcoming news with you though, because while it hasn’t happened yet, the upcoming news is so exciting and full of love and happiness!
