Aqua Di Gio

I have been indecisive when it comes to decorating lately. We’ve only lived in our Chicago condo for about a month and a half and decorating, good decorating, typically takes time. We have a white couch and teal throw pillows. I’ve painted teal paintings as mentioned here before and our candles and knick knacks are mostly shades of turquoise as well. I need more color, and I’m not afraid of it.

So I’m thinking should I transition the color scheme seasonally to be:

Summer:

Spring:

Winter:

Fall:

Or do you think one color should remain a constant all year like these:

Which color selection/s would you choose to emulate in your accent pillows and throws?

  1. Great picture inspriations. I love using teal and white/khaki as a combination. My living room is teal, white, with lots of punches of gray and silver. However, I really like the idea of incorporating another color. I feel like since we're young and fun (and awesome), it's totally the time to bring a fun yellow, coral, or orange pop of color.

There's my vote! Ha! Hope you're feeling better darlin'

  2. I think the second fall picture is a great way to bring in lots of color while still using teal as the main color. And you wouldn't have to switch it out every season, which could get pricey and you'd have to store the items you're not using. But the inspiration photos are great overall. And teal is my fav color - as you may remember - so I love your color choice!

  3. I'm in the middle of re-doing my living/dining room area and I've chosen grey walls with teal/turquoise accents. I love that you posted this! It really helps me see what I could do with the space throughout the year. I definitely love the idea of adapting throughout the seasons!
